What are the responsibilities and job description for the SBU Project Manager, Product Evaluation position at Emerson Career Site?
The Project Manager will be part of a fast-paced Product Evaluation teams and will apply traditional and agile project management principles to coordinate the execution of testing, simulation, and improvement projects to support the New Product Development teams. The Project Manager’s core responsibility is to understand the scope of incoming test requests with regards to personnel requirements, facilities, prototype parts availability, and priority, regularly communicate with Business Unit collaborators while upholding Emerson business initiatives and pushing continuous improvement!
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
- Manage and update project management tools
- Coordinate and lead project management and scheduling meetings
- Update collaborators on evaluation test or simulation status and risks
- Perform scrum master responsibilities for the three evaluation teams
- Generate and improve Product Evaluation metrics to accurately measure team performance
- Coordinate prototype part logistics and delivery
- Communicate and coordinate with customer groups (valve new product, instrument new product, nuclear, global supply chain, materials, research and development, etc.)
- Support short- and long-term capacity planning
- Percentage of travel - <10%

For This Role, You Will Need:
- BA or BS degree preferred; four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Two or more years’ project management experience or other relevant experience
- Proficiency in Project Management concepts
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Lean Product Development experience preferred
- Continuous Improvement experience preferred
- CAPM or PMP ideal
