Emerson is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer-Machining Co-op (May 2025- December 2025) to join our Ma rshalltown, IA team. We are looking for someone who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
- Support and promote a strong safety culture.
- Responsible to support the achievement of the following critical success factors : Safety, Quality, Delivery / Lead-time Cost / Inventory Management and Cost of Quality.
- Support the development and qualification of new procedures and processes.
- Provide a manufacturing support interface with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to address potential manufacturability issues.
- Lean Implementation -Supporting the implementation of Lean in processes as appropriate.
- Understand the principles and support the reduction in the cost of quality (COQ).
- Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) :
Quality
Analyze data and implement Root-Cause solutions to improve processes and personnel driven nonconformance's.
Identify and Facilitate Implementation of process improvements.
