Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Based in Sandusky, MI, you will set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production / processing operation.   Typical working schedule Monday – Thursday 4 : 30p.m. to 3 : 00a.m. (4x10’s) to include scheduled overtime on Friday’s and some weekends.    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Precision machine operation.
• Manufactures enough quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet demand.
• Basic blueprint reading and shop math.
• Test and calibrate components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• The use and operation of fabrication equipment in work centers such as grinding, honing, passivation, assembly and test, lathes, mills, and heat treat.
• Ability to use various oils and chemicals for some machine operations
• Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production / process specifications.
• Resolves issues related to the production, machinery, and processing.
• Tests and calibrates components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
• Observe established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and / or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations.
• All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.        Who You Are :   You balance planning with actions. • High school diploma / GED
• Willingness and ability to work required schedule.
• Ability to produce a quality part at a productive rate while working in a fast-paced environment.
• While performing, duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift.
• Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing machinery environment with conditions and elements including but not limited to high noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease, chemical products, hand tools.
• Must wear proper PPE required for the role, to include safety glasses, hand gloves, ear plugs and steel toe safety shoes.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART :
