What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Engineer - Rotary position at Emery Oleochemicals LLC?
• Ensure complete and thorough compliance with all plant occupational safety requirements. Develop a culture of safety excellence and achievement towards plant Behavior Based Safety goals.
• Conduct incident investigations and take appropriate corrective actions for all incidents identified by the SHE Dept.
• Ensure the implementation of plant QMS policies, practices, and procedures in support of ISO 9001/14001 compliance. Respond to Corrective Action Requests (CAR) requests and Customer Complaints and Feedbacks.
• Work individually and within a team to maximize mean time to repair (MTTR)
• Participating in equipment Improvement plans using historical data on breakdowns as the tool, capturing and tracking actions to completion
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams supporting preventative/corrective maintenance and other improvement projects.
• Support Project Engineering in the scope development and management of capital projects.
• Manage site PSM mechanical integrity program which includes annual visual inspections of pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and piping, in addition to API 510 inspections performed by a third party every five years.
• Perform root cause failure analyses on critical or repeat equipment failures and create a comprehensive report of findings and recommendations.
• Along with the rest of the Reliability Team, utilize a Reliability Centered Maintenance approach to provide continuous improvement to the maintenance department.
• Create/update PM plans, functional locations, equipment, and bill of materials in SAP for Fatty Acids and Specialty Esters plants.
• Work with the Reliability Engineer to manage Flowserve LifeCycle Advantage (LCA) program to improve the performance, traceability, and consistency of mechanical seals used across 850 rotating pieces of equipment.
• Perform ultrasonic and visual inspections for the Emery Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan along with managing the Risk Matrix spreadsheet and associated reports.
• Hire, train, and manage Mechanical Engineering Co-op and supervise work responsibilities.
• Manage larger maintenance projects that are outside the scope of the craft supervisors.
• Assist the rest of the maintenance staff with technical support, troubleshooting, and inspections as needed.
