General Accountant AP

The General Accountant -A/P will:

• The financial period closing process. Responsible for the preparation of the various accrual entries associated with the Accounts Payable function.
• Responsible for the reconciliation of various General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with the established rules and principles of general accounting.
• Works with Purchasing and/or receiving to resolve PO vs. invoice/receipt discrepancies. This involves monitoring of the Logged Invoice and the Received Not Invoiced reports to ensure problems are corrected before they age.
• Ensures timely, accurate entry and payment of vendor invoices for assigned US Locations, along with the appropriate reporting, maintenance, and follow-up reconciliation.
• Coordinates and oversees the Kofax system to ensure timely and accurate flow of incoming invoices. Works in conjunction with IFS Project Leader to resolve workflow issues.
• Prepares and post journal entries to the General Ledger including but not limited to all accrual and timing issues associated with the proper recognition of A/P activity
• Prepares analysis and/or reconciliation of G/L accounts as required with supporting schedules.
• Assists the Tax Accountant with Sales Tax compliance
• Assists with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university, and 5-7 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
