Medical Claims Trainer

EMI Health is looking for a Claims Department Trainer to lead training sessions for new and current employees. This role focuses on creating training materials, resolving system-related issues, and working with different departments to improve processes.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the training program and materials for the MBS department.
• Conduct training sessions using different teaching methods.
• Collaborate with leadership to address claims system issues and updates.
• Maintain and update policies and procedures with leadership support.
• Ensure staff meets quality standards through regular assessments.
• Assist Internal Audit with monthly large-dollar audits and findings.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Address questions and research requests from other departments.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations to management.
• Track and manage claim inventory with leadership support.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or at least five years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent training and experience.
• Familiarity with claims payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10, and ADA coding.
• Understanding of medical, dental, and vision benefit terms.
• Knowledge of health insurance regulations (COB, Medicare, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows.
• Strong ability to motivate and engage employees.
