Job Description

Emilia's is a gymnastics, tumbling, and acrobatics gym with a strong family dynamic! All of our staff is dedicated to providing top quality service to our customer families, both on and off the gymnastics floor. We are looking for candidates who are flexible, adaptable, and ready to try something new / different as a lead summer camp counselor. We are committed to fostering a comfortable and empowering environment for all of our employees.

If you think you meet the following qualifications, we would love to set up an interview with you :

MUST have background in gymnastics and tumbling.
Interested in being a team player for a close-knit staff that always aims to improve.
Willing to learn and grow in the areas of customer service, coaching skills, and interpersonal communication with clients and staff.
Ideally has experience working with kids (but not required).
Lives no more than 30 minutes from our facility in Laurel.
Has a bright, engaging personality when communicating with parents and students. Summer camp is one of our most fun programs, so we are seeking enthusiastic counselors to show our campers a GREAT summer! : )

Job duties of a lead camp counselor include :

Leading a group of campers throughout the activities of a camp day. This includes gymnastics stations (floor tumbling, balance beam, parallel bar, trampoline, stretching, and conditioning), arts & crafts, group games, open gym play throughout our facility.

Maintaining and monitoring for the safety of our campers throughout all camp activities.

Being role models to our campers to give them a positive, encouraging, and fun camp experience.

Instructing campers in technical skills of gymnastics and tumbling.

Maintaining a high-energy environment for a summer full of fun.

Here at Emilia's, we encourage and support all of our staff members to sharpen their skills and perform to their fullest potential. Our family dynamic extends to other staff members, and even our regular customer families, who love coming to Emilia's for the welcoming environment! We are invested in our staff as employees, but also as growing individuals.

Our summer camp grows from year-to-year, so we're looking for outstanding camp staff members to grow along with it. For lead counselors who demonstrate outstanding work, there is the potential for being invited back for future summer camp seasons. We would be happy to have dedicated counselors back for the years to come!
