Overview
We are seeking a reliable and responsible driver to join our landscaping team. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting landscaping equipment, materials, and team members to various job sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. The ideal candidate should have experience driving commercial vehicles, a strong knowledge of local roads, and the ability to handle and secure equipment for safe transport.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport landscaping materials, tools, and team members to job sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading landscaping equipment and materials.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures to ensure safe driving and accident prevention.
- Coordinate with the landscaping team to ensure timely arrival at job sites and efficient workflow.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Assist with minor landscaping tasks, such as carrying materials, when not driving.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
Experience
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles, such as box trucks or trailers, is preferred.
- Knowledge of local routes and the ability to navigate efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Prior landscaping or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
