Position Summary:
This position supports all students in attaining high levels of achievement, social and emotional growth, and workplace preparation via the provision of direct and indirect services. The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Experience with supporting at risk students is recommended.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assess referred students and provide recommendations for service(s). A written evaluation is required for Section 504 and Chapter 766 referrals.
• Provide direct service to students who have been identified either individually, in small groups, or through classroom interventions.
• Provide preventative services including classroom curriculum presentations, guest speakers, forums, etc.
• Maintain ongoing case records for all students as assigned.
• Collaborate with parent and community agencies to obtain and provide necessary services for students in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Complete and submit required paperwork to comply with departmental and legal mandates.
• Disseminate and explain educational, vocational, and assessment information to students to assist them in the decision-making process relative to their future goals.
• Assist school personnel and parents in understanding student growth and development by providing and interpreting information (test scores, projective date, career information, etc.) which will enable them to develop realistic goals
• Provide crisis intervention services to students as necessary.
• Participate on the Teacher Network Team activities as assigned.
• Supporting at-risk students through a tier 3 intervention program.
• Providing SEL, counseling, skill building, and consultation with staff.
• Supporting students’ behaviors schoolwide.
• Participating in the Warrior S.T.R.O.N.G. schoolwide positive behavior support protocols.
• Establishing and maintaining collaboration in the classroom with the classroom teacher.
• Supporting check-in and check-out sheets and various programs within the school.
• Attending IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings.
• Participating in curriculum night, report card night(s), and building meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Experience in collaborating with social service agencies.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Bilingual Candidates Preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Counseling, Guidance, Human Services, School Psychology, or Social Work.
• Massachusetts Certification as a School Counselor, School Adjustment Counselor, Guidance Counselor, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the field of counseling, education, guidance, or social work
• Experience working with school age children using a developmental model which includes delivering services in an individual, small group, and large group setting

Pay Range
• $56,415-$84,063
