EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is searching for a Chief Campaigns Officer to lead our Campaigns team. The Chief Campaigns Officer is responsible for developing the organization’s strategic political plan and overseeing campaign services, endorsements, candidate training, and other campaign programs.

\n- Responsible for the implementing the organization’s electoral strategy and aligns federal and state plans and short- and long-term political programs
- Recommends candidates for endorsement
- Builds relationships with incumbents and newly elected officials, as well as potential new candidates and endorsements
- Responsible for the coordination and growth of the EMILYs List partnership base, cultivating relationships with external organizations, coalitions, and coordinated tables to advance our mission
- Develops strategies to address representation gaps and diversify the candidate pipeline, including training programs and events
- Promotes EMILYs List externally and may act as a spokesperson for EMILYs List when needed
- Builds and maintains strong relationships internally, ensuring the flow of information to other departments is timely and consistent across all teams
- Informs organizational leadership and the Board of Directors of matters related to EMILYs List candidates and campaigns, and department outcomes, successes, and challenges
- Develops and manages the departmental budget and approves spending decisions, allocating resources in a fiscally responsible and strategic manner
- Uses available information and consults with others to make decisions in a timely manner and assesses risk when strategic decisions are made
- Other duties as assigned
- Some business travel may be required
- At least 8 years of campaign and electoral experience; experience in formal leadership roles such as Campaign Manager is preferred
- Proven success implementing political programs and executing political strategy
- Deep understanding of campaign finance and budget planningStrong interpersonal and leadership capabilities; experience as a direct supervisor or mentor supporting the performance and professional development of others is preferred
- A self-starter skilled in problem-solving, prioritization, and project management
- Comfortable holding others accountable to deadlines and desired outcomes
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and relationships

Our office is based in Washington, DC. This position is based in the DC office with a hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 days per week in office.
