Main purpose of the Retail Senior Accountant Analyst role:
This position will be responsible for various accounting activities within the Retail department. These responsibilities include supporting the month-end close process, journal entries, profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. Additionally, the position will support the monthly reporting function by preparing various financial reports and schedules and fulfilling ad-hoc requests for data or analysis from business partners and management.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of REVOLVE's retail stores, encompassing the creation of journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, research and resolution of item discrepancies, and ensuring the correct classification of expenses.
- Prepare month-end Retail financial statements, including monthly account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance and create detailed variance reports and present findings to management.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets based on sales projections and expense forecasts. Demonstrate an understanding of sales and expense projections, analyze historical performance, seasonality, and the macro/micro economic environment, and the impact of current business trends.
- Present financial statements in a simplified format to Retail Leadership and senior finance executives, requiring excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to think fluidly during presentations.
- Understand, propose, and independently establish enhancements to internal controls at the store level.
- Implement best practices to streamline procedures and improve accuracy. Play a key role in general process improvements and process documentation for all facets of the Retail accounting and FP&A cycle.
- Responsible for the retail inventory in stores, including retail physical inventory reconciliation and adjustments. This includes research and follow-up on store physical inventory discrepancies, as needed.
- Build strong business partnerships across the organization, including Planning, Operations, and Retail to work together and Develop analyses, processes, and procedures to facilitate and monitor retail store initiatives.
- Partner with the inventory planning team weekly to provide forecast insights that drive supply allocation to Retail.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales, unit, order, margin, profitability and KPI reporting by store.
Required Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

- Self started with high capacity and desire to build
- Ability to recognize patterns in large sets of data, poke holes in current processes and suggest improvements
- Strong work ethic is key in this role
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy are a must
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 year’s Accounting/Finance experience (Public Accounting experience a plus)
- Strong accounting skills with experience in physical retail and high volume inventory
- Experience working with a major ERP system and internally developed systems
- Strong knowledge of Excel and modeling skills. Shown ability to distill complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models
- A self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Very flexible and able to function in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate results to both senior leadership and large groups, representing Finance perspective to non-Finance business partners
- Proven track record of independently completing challenging projects, leading multiple priorities, designing and executing ad hoc analysis and building effective business partnerships
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $95,000 to $105,000.
