Main purpose of the Designer, Contemporary position :
The Designer will utilize their strong acumen for fashion to create and interpret concepts to generate a final product for a specific brand. He or she will collaborate with different departments to manage the development of his or her product from initial concept through production across multiple brands. This is a permanent full-time role for a candidate who truly understands the market consumer and can apply it to the passion of his or her work. This position will also utilize their organizational skills to work independently to accomplish design departmental goals as well as working one on one with their Design Manager.
Major Responsibilities :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Ownership over brands from development to productionLead meetings and work one on one with directors and senior leadsSketchingTech-packingLead fittings, update tech pack construction and BOMsComment on 1st protosWork cross functionally with product development on costing optionsWork in our product console - naming, creating and updating styles etc.Communicate with our vendorsShop the market for inspiration as well as in depth online researchBuild / Tech Packs / construction Detail Pages / maintain BOMsPartner with tech designers to align design vision and complete fitting independentlyCultivate and train assistants which includes refining their design development processComplete ad hoc assignments as assigned by managementCreate detailed technical flats and line guides; this includes intricate CAD work, detailedconstruction details for review with Lead Designer. This includes thoughtful andAssist in conceptualizing and creating compelling product for the segmentCreate mood boards, technical flats and line guidesSource and chose materials for product with minimal guidanceRequired Competencies :

Minimum 5-6 years in Fashion DesignMust have leadership or management experienceAdvanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a mustAdvanced visual and written communication skillsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categoriesStrong ability to clearly communicate silhouettes and detailed garment construction through tech pack creation and CADSPreferred Qualifications :
Minimum 7 years in Fashion DesignProcreate is a plusMust have leadership or management experienceAdvanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a mustAdvanced visual and written communication skillsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories

For individuals assigned and / or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary rate is $85,000 to $90,000 per year.
