POSITION PROFILE :
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects in the manufacturing, industrial, and power & energy sectors. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and quality standards. This position involves managing and leading the project team, including superintendents, to ensure smooth operations. The Project Manager will also be the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
Key responsibilities include project scheduling, cost management, coordination of subcontractors, and maintaining communication with all project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proactive, solution-oriented, and have strong leadership skills to handle the challenges of complex construction projects.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead all aspects of the project, ensuring a professional, courteous, and respectful approach to all stakeholders.
- Set project direction, align resources, and ensure high standards of execution.
- Serve as the initial client contact, assessing the scope of work and resources required.
- Supervise all construction efforts, ensuring safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule compliance.
- Communicate directly with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Manage the project schedule and ensure milestones are met.
- Handle financial aspects, including fee payments, rental equipment, and income / expenses.
- Oversee extra work estimates, change orders, and project cost control.
- Manage productivity, material usage, and the overall performance of the project.
- Represent our client in project meetings and assist with labor negotiations.
- Develop and implement project objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate subcontractors and lead contractor meetings.
- Draft and manage subcontracts and change orders.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers.
- Address and resolve project issues promptly.
- Ensure the efficient and thorough closeout of each project, including financial closure.
