POSITION PROFILE :
Our client seeks an experienced licensed Mechanical Engineer. This colleague independently performs a variety of assignments involving the application of standard mechanical design engineering techniques for a small project or selected segments of a larger project. The incumbent must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make minor design adaptations and modifications. This position requires the colleague to set assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for the design engineering services following with Corporate Vision, Mission, and Core Values as well as Corporate ISO Systems View(s), and related professional standards, client requirements, and corporate objectives. Collaborates with more experienced Engineering Colleagues to prepare basic plan details and outlines, cost estimates, and perform calculations in support of broader engineering activities involving the design of mechanical equipment, components, or systems. Lays out full plan designs, plan details and outlines, identifies quantities of materials, cost estimates, and performs calculations for a detailed segment of a project. Prepares technical specifications for review and approval. Evaluates vendors bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications. Reviews and approves mechanical design drawings for assigned segments of project. Assists with development of design guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures when directed by Practice Technical Leader. Prepares technical reports such as Life Cycle Coast Analysis, Facility Conditions Assessments, and other Engineering guidance for clients. Performs field tests & measurements, collects field data, as necessary. Aids and supports proposal teams or proposal managers as requested. Collaborates with supports Design Engineers / Designer l & ll colleagues on their technical development and professional growth. Collaborates with Field Observations Colleagues to perform field observations and tests, measurements, collect field data, and prepare field reports and related documentation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
4-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
6-9 years of related experience (or equivalent working knowledge / advanced degree in engineering)
Licensed or at least an FE with ability of receiving a PE registration within the first 2 years of attaining this position level
