POSITION PROFILE :
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing mission-critical sector team. This role offers the opportunity to grow with the company and collaborate with team members across the country. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing national program-level design solutions directly with clients and managing the project design team from schematic design through construction administration while providing leadership and mentorship to engineering staff.

Project-Related Responsibilities
Knowledge :
- Extensive experience in mission-critical / data center projects.
- Experience engaging and advising clients.
- Strong HVAC design and engineering skills for data centers.
- Familiarity with sustainable design approaches and related project impacts.
- Ability to research applicable codes and standards for application to projects throughout the United States.
- Ability to successfully engage with jurisdictional agencies.
Team Engagement :
Direct and oversee project team members within the mechanical engineering discipline.Monitor staff to ensure quality engineering experience for clients as part of an integrated team concept.Ability to work with remote engineers and teams.Pursuit Skills :
Ability to review, digest, and respond to RFPs within days.Participate in client presentations.Assist in developing project cost models and ensure the design team understands and communicates goals.Project Skills :
Develop building system concepts and drive documentation from schematics through construction administration.Participate in early project charettes to identify opportunities and challenges within an integrated design team.Prepare and document required code research for projects.Maintain a Mechanical Basis of Design Journal throughout project life cycles.Prepare and manage discipline work plans.Conduct material and product research for project development.Function as discipline team leader on assigned projects.Attend project meetings and represent the company as necessary.Interface with other discipline team leaders to ensure top-level coordination and design quality.Respond promptly to client questions and requests.Document RFI responses and submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration.Non-Project Related Responsibilities

Bachelors degree required.Professional engineering license or ability to become licensed within one year.Previous experience with data center owners.LEED Accreditation preferred.IES-VE Modeling experience preferred.Revit BIM design experience required.Minimum of 10 years experience in the A / E industry.Extensive knowledge of professional services from conceptual design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.Strong understanding of coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with proactive planning and execution abilities.Ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Suite.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.Ability to work under deadline situations collaboratively.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to travel to and from project sites for meetings.Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation.Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.Visual acuity to perform responsibilities effectively.EOE STATEMENT :
