POSITION SUMMARY :
The primary responsibility of the Senior Estimator is to produce accurate and competitive job estimates for single and multi-phase site development projects and manage these projects to completion. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of projects, requiring a high level of expertise in analyzing contract documents, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with clients and subcontractors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :
- Identify projects to bid within the Companys core markets.
- Analyze and interpret contract documents, including engineering plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for site development projects.
- Perform quantity take-off analysis and risk assessment analysis.
- Solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor proposals.
- Prepare project schedules and ensure they align with project scope and budget.
- Work in a team environment, assisting and training other estimators and estimator associates.
- Develop and implement standardized estimating systems and databases to improve efficiency.
- Interface with clients to ensure alignment with project goals and specifications.
- Handle more complex projects involving intricate specifications, special requirements, and difficult existing conditions.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate the work of estimators and estimator associates to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
