Position: Mission Critical Structural Engineer

POSITION PROFILE:
Structural Engineers with our client are pivotal in developing building system concepts and managing the documentation process for projects from schematic design through construction administration, often juggling multiple projects simultaneously. They may lead as a Discipline Team Leader, collaborating closely with the in-house A/E team, including Project Managers and Architects, to create and deliver positive impacts for clients, colleagues, and the community.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading structural design and documentation efforts, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and supporting project development with material, product, and code-required research.
- Overseeing project team members within the structural engineering discipline, driving efforts towards design excellence on larger and complex projects.
- Planning the structural discipline's project efforts, preparing and monitoring Discipline Work Plans.
- Attending project meetings, representing the structural discipline to partners and clients.
- Interfacing with other Discipline Team Leaders.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of six years of technical design experience in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with Mission Critical projects preferred.
- Professional Licensure Registered PE required; SE preferred.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering required.
- Extensive knowledge of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
- LEED Accreditation preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and motivate others, estimate hours, and delegate work assignments.
- Proficiency with ETABS, RAM, RISA, and other structural analysis software.
- Highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Revit skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capable of traveling to and from project sites across the US for client, project, and construction meetings.
- Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation purposes.
- Ability to use office equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
- Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
