Job Description for School Social Worker

- School Social Worker needed in Naperville, IL
- Grade Level: Elementary
- Shift Time; 7:30 am-3:00 pm, Monday - Friday
- Start: ASAP
- End date: May 2025
- Total hours: 35-40 hours per week (will include 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education/Certification:
- Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL)
- School Social Work endorsement required
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and support to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Engage with families and community resources to promote child welfare and support services.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies within the school environment.
- Advocate for students' rights and access to necessary resources and services.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
