CNC Mill Operator Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality control, and the ability to work with various measuring instruments. The CNC Mill Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to maintain high standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Assist in the assembly of components as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience operating forklifts and other machinery is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Requirements
- 1 years experience in CNC Milling
- Ability to load and unload parts
- Ability to changing tools in the machine
- Must be able to read calipers and do some inspection
Additional Details
- Hours – First shift, Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm with possible overtime.
