Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of precision measurement tools and machining processes, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Set up and adjust machinery based on production requirements and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers to ensure accuracy in production.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble components and ensure timely production schedules.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles as needed.
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with machining processes including lathe operation, stamping press, electrical discharge machining, and tooling is advantageous.
- Experience with cranes and forklifts for material handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming for CNC machines is desirable but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- Experience using Co2 and or fiber laser machines
- Must have knowledge cutting mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Ability to edit program at the machine a plus
Additional Details
- 2 nd Shift Monday – Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am. Friday, Saturday, Sunday off and don’t go to work until 3:30pm Monday. Nice long weekends every week!
- Salary based on experience.
