This position is responsible for assisting teachers in the planning of weekly lessons, actively supervising, and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, for Infants / toddlers and preschool-age children enrolled in Emmanuel Faith Preschool, by partnering with parents and families in guiding children to honor God by living like Jesus.
Requirements :
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
- Set up age-appropriate activities indoors and outdoors to promote social, physical, cognitive, creative, self-concepts, and spiritual growth
- Prepare morning and afternoon snacks.
- Support classroom teachers with the implementation of the curriculum.
- Utilize classroom materials and routines as resources to provide an environment that promotes learning and is appropriate to the development levels, interests, and special talents of the child
- Create a safe and healthy environment and maintain cleanliness (including toys / materials).
- Responsible for constant visual supervision of children at all times.
- Provide coverage for breaks and planning time of staff.
- Implement rules and practices that provide and foster discipline in the child
- Maintain an open friendly relationship with staff, volunteers and parents
- Participate in staff meetings and other required training, an occasional evening or weekend may be required
- Caring for Infants & Toddlers basic needs by changing diapers, assisting with feeding, logging activities, and providing a safe & nurturing environment.
