Job description
Position Summary:
Engages in all aspects related to maintenance and repairing physical structures of buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties.
- Engage in the work of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, heating and air conditioning, painting, repairs to masonry in the apartments and common areas or furnishings of buildings
- Maintain swimming pool including but not limited to chemical treatment, cleaning, filter, etc. and report problem to supervisor
- Complete light duty maintenance tasks, including but not limited to caulking, change locks, replace screens, replace door stops, change air conditioning filters, replace light bulbs, etc.
- Complete ground maintenance activities, including but not limited to mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, upkeep of common area and pool, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse
- General cleaning and up keep of buildings including shops, common areas and offices including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows
- Upkeep of pool (when applicable)
- Assist other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
- Available for after hour emergency maintenance items as outlined in the Apartment Operations Manual
- Follow policies and procedures
- Additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma. A minimum of 1 years related apartment industry experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
- EPA and CPO Certification if applicable (preferred or demonstrates the ability to obtain at his/her expense within three months of hire)
