Program Overview
The Emmet County Road Commission is partnering with the Michigan Department of Transportation to offer a 20-week summer apprenticeship program. This unique opportunity provides hands-on training and experience in road maintenance, culvert repair, sign installation, and other general highway work.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old by June 2nd and possess a valid driver's license. A pick-up truck will be provided for work travel throughout several counties in Northern Michigan.
