Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety standards.
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when required, demonstrating proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and effective workflow.
Skills
- Proficient in four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology essential for effective communication.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Open Dental and Dexis
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Ability to take X-rays safely and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.

We are a staff team of 12 employees. And we are pretty low-key and relaxed in our work environment. The staff are really close and show this by celebrating every persons birthday with collaborative potlucks and other acts of kindness.
We operate Monday to Thursdays 8-5pm with a lunch hour break. And we take fridays-sundays off.
Wage is dependent on experience. Priority for this job will be given to those who have dental assisting backgrounds and those who live local in Emmett.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
