Job Summary
The Brand Manager will assist the team in growing our consumer brands. This position will facilitate key initiatives related to marketing planning and execution for Emmi Roth.
The Brand Manager will assist the team in growing our consumer brands of award-winning specialty and premium cheese including: Emmi, Roth, and Athenos. This position will facilitate key initiatives related to marketing planning and execution for Emmi Roth.
The Brand Manager develops and directs marketing efforts to increase the value and performance of company’s brands. A Brand Manager must focus on developing a brand’s profit and loss performance, image and positioning compared to competitors. Key efforts include: good handle on consumer and market insights, including the ability to analyze market data with consumer research. The position requires close collaboration with multiple teams including but not limited to: marketing, sales, procurement, supply chain, and sales support.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and collaborate in the development and implementation of brand strategies to achieve organizational goals.
Drive the execution of marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly the Director of Creative Services and Director of Communications, and agencies to ensure consistent and effective brand communication across all channels.
Collaborate with the Communication team to manage promotional and advertising programs to maximize brand visibility and engagement.
Assist in the ongoing evaluation and optimization of the branded product portfolio including innovation, renovation and productivity/margin enhancement.
Support the development and launch of new products, ensuring alignment with brand strategies.
Support the Director and team in managing brand budgets and P&L; diligently embrace the mindset of P&L owner and steward.
Optimize marketing spend to achieve maximum return on investment.
Work closely with Sales to support the execution of revenue growth strategies.
Assist in the development of sell-in strategies and sales materials to drive growth.
Track and analyze brand performance metrics to inform future strategies and actions. (e.g. brand health tracking; marketing mix modeling)
Provide regular reports on brand performance and marketing activities.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative consumer research to inform marketing strategies and product development.
Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or related field required
Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience
Cheese/Dairy industry or CPG market knowledge is preferred
Demonstrated significant and relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods
Strong project leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and P&L’s
Expertise in syndicated databases (specifically Circana POS and Panel data), market research, business and brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications
Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing (functional expert) and a working knowledge of practices in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape across multiple segments
In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
Excellent analytical skills as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations
Filters, prioritizes, analyzes and validates potential complex and dynamic material
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external)
