Summary

The Cybersecurity Technician at Emmi Roth will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our digital information and systems. This role involves implementing and monitoring security measures, responding to incidents, and continuously improving our cybersecurity practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Security Monitoring: Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and potential threats using security tools and systems.

·         Incident Response: Respond to security incidents promptly, mitigating any potential damage and ensuring that incidents are properly documented and analyzed.

·         Threat Analysis: Analyze security threats and vulnerabilities to develop effective countermeasures.

·         System Maintenance: Monitor security systems, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to work with responsible parties to ensure solutions remain up to date.

·         Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.

·         Security Training: Provide training and awareness programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices.

·         Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, measures implemented, and system configurations.

·         Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, management, and external partners to strengthen overall security posture.

·         Cybersecurity Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain IT cybersecurity policies to ensure the protection of digital assets and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Required qualifications, skills, and experience for the job; education background, certifications, relevant work experience, technical skills, and soft skills.

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security or a related field. 

·         Degree in an Information Technology related field or equivalent experience

·         Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security are highly desirable.

·         Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

·         Proficiency in network security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.

·         Proficiency with security tools and technologies.

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
