EmmUcare Home Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating patient care visits, managing schedules for our healthcare staff, and ensuring timely and efficient services for our patients. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in healthcare scheduling, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to providing quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule home health visits for patients based on their care plans and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless scheduling and delivery of care.
- Maintain and update patient and caregiver schedules in the system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage staff availability, ensuring optimal coverage of visits and reducing conflicts in scheduling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues promptly.
- Provide updates on any changes or adjustments to schedules to relevant team members.
- Assist in the preparation and management of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for nurses, therapists, and other care staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations regarding scheduling and patient care.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
- Handle patient inquiries or concerns related to scheduling and work to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare scheduling, preferably in home health or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of home health industry standards and regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and basic office tools (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
