Dog Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of animals. Being apart of our Grooming team makes you apart of our Emmy's Team! Candidates must be well rounded individuals with the ability to work seemlessly with others. We are asking that candidates who are interested have 3 years of experience and can provide pictures of their finished work and a list of refrences. This position is commissioned based.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for (only) dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming options, and any observed health concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
• Able to track and rebook their own appointments, while staying organized and effective with clear communication.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to enhance service offerings.
• Actively contributes to Emmy's Barking Lot positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet grooming or a related field. (Asking for 3 years)
• Strong knowledge of animal care, handling, and behavior.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments.
• Certification in pet grooming or related qualifications is an advantage but not mandatory.
• a following clientele is a bonus but not a requirement to join the team!

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
