The Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine is looking for a qualified Solid Organ Transplant Surgeon to join our team as a junior faculty member. Applicants of the 2025 Surgical Fellowship Match must submit job applications using the Emory Careers Website. The Emory University Fellowship programs were created to foster the development of high quality fellowships included but not limited to General / GI, Oncology, Transplant, Plastics, Trauma / Surgical Care, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.This two-year clinical fellowship, overseen by William Kitchens, MD, is accredited by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons in adult and pediatric liver and kidney transplantation as well as adult pancreas transplantation. Fellows will be trained in the operative techniques of transplantation of abdominal solid organs, laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy, the procurement of abdominal organs for transplantation from deceased organ donors, and dialysis access procedures. Fellows will also be mentored in the preoperative evaluation of potential organ transplant recipients and the full spectrum of post-transplant management issues.
