The Role :

We are on the hunt for a  Creative Director  to lead the creative vision, strategy, and execution for our brand. This role is critical to shaping how our brand is expressed across all platforms with a focus on social media content and video. The Creative Director should also have experience developing sales materials, e-mail marketing campaigns, websites, and e-commerce content. The ideal candidate is a  visionary storyteller  who thrives on ideating and delivering content that captivates and converts. They must combine a "big idea" mindset with the ability to execute projects efficiently, especially in a  start-up environment  that demands agility, resourcefulness, and speed.

The ideal candidate must have expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, as well as expert-level proficiency with AI tools for content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Content Ideation & Development

  • Lead creative ideation and execution for social media content, including videos, photography, reels, and more.
  • Oversee the development of brand materials, such as in-store signage, packaging, and promotional collateral for grocery retail.

Create cohesive campaigns across all digital channels (website, email marketing, digital ads).

Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and resources are effectively planned and executed.
  • Independently handle creative production or coordinate with external freelancers and vendors to deliver high-quality results.
  • Innovation & AI Integration

  • Stay ahead of the curve by leveraging diverse  AI tools  to optimize and enhance content creation, including video, image, and text generation.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI and design tools to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Independent Execution & Collaboration

  • Act as a  sole contributor , executing design, copywriting, and video editing tasks independently or by leveraging freelancers to support content needs.
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of freelancers and vendors for scalable support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, and product) to align creative output with business objectives.
  • Required Qualifications

    Experience

  • 7 years in creative roles, with a focus on social media, brand development, and consumer goods.
  • Technical Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency with  Adobe Creative Suite  (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of AI tools for content creation (e.g., generative AI platforms for image, text, and video creation).
  • Creative Excellence

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of social and digital content (retail marketing examples a plus).
  • Ability to think big-picture while also being detail-oriented in execution.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to create clever and engaging copy that captures the essence of a brand.

    Project Management Skills

  • Experience managing timelines, budgets, and resources in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and pivot as needed to meet business needs.
  • Soft Skills

  • Innovative and resourceful mindset with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with grocery retail brands.
