What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Empac Group, Inc.?
The Employment Specialist works with individuals with disabilities to obtain and retain employment opportunities that match a person’s interests, skills and aspirations. The employment specialist will manage a caseload of individuals, cultivate and educate employers and market services to the community at large.
This is a full-time position and requires a High School Diploma and 2 – 4 years of work experience. The successful candidate will possess proficient computer skills. The individual must have a valid driver’s license and obtain a Class E Chauffer’s license within 30 days of hire. Knowledge of programs and services for people with developmental disabilities is preferred. Willingness to travel on company business in company and/or personal vehicle is required as Empac works with individuals in Franklin County as well as surrounding counties. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required.

Salary base is $18.00/hour but may be adjusted based on your level of experience and expertise.

- Assess client needs and develop personalized employment plans to support workforce development.
- Mentor clients throughout the job search process, offering guidance and support. Provide job coaching as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and services provided.
