Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician to join a high-performance team at a growing contract manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered thermoplastic, LSR, and thermoset parts. This individual will be responsible for precision mold building, repair, and modification using CNC and manual machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build new molds from raw materials using CNC/manual machining equipment
- Repair and modify existing molds to exact specifications
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for evaluation and servicing
- Review engineering drawings, 3D models, and follow tight tolerance machining
- Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other CNC/manual equipment
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering and production on mold troubleshooting
- Maintain safe and clean workspace; follow industry safety practices
- Perform additional tool room duties as needed
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in mold making and tool repair
- Proficient in CNC and manual machining
- Strong understanding of precision tolerances and blueprint interpretation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
