What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist (PRN) position at Empath Health?
Empath Health is currently seeking a Pharmacist (PRN) to join our team.
The Staff Pharmacist:
- Responsible for the compounding, preparing, packaging, dispensing, distribution, monitoring, and control of all drugs.
- Provides drug information and supervises pharmacy technician.
Position Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Pharmacist with the Florida Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy
- Continuing education: Meet continuing education requirements as noted by the Florida Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy Division
- Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, if immunization certified.
- Professional interaction skills with medical, nursing and ancillary staffs.
- Able to supervise technician and volunteers.
- Supports Hospice philosophy and objectives.
- Retail/outpatient/hospital experience.
- Sterile product experience.
- Excellent telephone manners.
- Able to lift light loads and has good eye-hand coordination.
