What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psych Registered Nurse RN - Home Health (PRN) position at Empath Health?
Empath Home Health, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a PRN Home Health Psych RN - Registered Psych Nurse. The Home Health Psych RN - Registered Psych Nurse helps provide each Empath Home Health patient with nursing services to include behavioral health care services and will be assessed for emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial functioning.
Locations: home health visits available in Pinellas County
The PRN Registered Psych Nurse:
- Performs initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the patient’s needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments at appropriate time points.
- Initiates the plan of care and revise as necessary.
- Provides nursing services and/or treatments indicated on plan of care and evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of care.
- Counsels and educates the patient and family on disease process, self-care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the respective state.
- One (1) year home health care experience preferred.
- Specialized training and/or experience beyond the standard curriculum required for a registered nurse. These Registered Nurses meet the training and experiential requirements of the State of Florida and/or the Regional Home Health Intermediary.
