POSITION TITLE : Family Program Coordinator

SUPERVISOR : CFO Program Director

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Career Family Opportunity (CFO) Program is EMPath’s flagship five-year asset-building program. The program journeys with 45 to 50 participants to lift themselves and their families towards and beyond the Area Median Income (AMI) for Greater Boston. The program leverages participant-driven supportive services and coaching, peer support and learning, cash incentives, and matched savings. Coordinator activities include, but are not limited to, supporting the Director in managing the day-to-day CFO program operations, supervising mobility mentors, overseeing and facilitating community meetings, and planning and implementing events.

Hours : This is a part-time position with an expected 15-20 hours a week with occasional nights and weekends, allowing for flexibility during slower times and heavier times leading up to major events.

Compensation : $28-$33 per hour.

  • Starting salaries are determined by the candidate's education and relevant years of experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION :

Program Operations :

  • Support the design and implementation of CFO program policies and procedures, including the CFO training curriculum, incentive processes, asset-building and matched savings (IDA) programs, and data collection procedures.
  • Provide weekly supervision, timely annual performance reviews, and compliance to annual training requirements to all direct reports.
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure the CFO program creates a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment for families.
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to direct service staff of all policies and procedures.
  • Process participant intake forms, and coordinate participant exits and internal transfers.
  • Ensure program compliance with regulatory standards and internal requirements established by the Research & Evaluation team, including oversight of the Apricot participant database system for quality of and timeliness of data entry.
  • Assist the Director with preparing and monitoring the budget, and attend quarterly budget review meetings with the Finance Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Community Engagement :

  • Oversee the planning, implementation and facilitation of all CFO community meetings.
  • Attend CFO community meetings, engage with and contribute to relationship building with program participants.
  • Recruit, select, and enroll families for the CFO program.
  • Event Planning and Implementation :

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement events such as the CFO annual celebration and graduation events.
  • Lead event planning and logistics, including vendor and venue coordination, volunteer management, and event registration.
  • Conduct post-event data collection and reporting as well as participant follow up.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES :

  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation and team building skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including demonstrated skills in conflict resolution.
  • Experience with working independently to accomplish goals and tasks assigned.
  • Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals representing a variety of needs, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature of strengths-based and participant driven program models.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
  • Understanding of budgets and program implementation and assessment.
  • EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Five years of experience working in a human services program required with two years of program leadership experience preferred.
