Job Summary: The Manager of the Installation and Field Repair team plays a critical role in ensuring the leadership of teams supporting the installation and support of customers fiber telecommunications services. This role is responsible for the timely delivery of quality fiber optic-based telecommunications services. In this role as manager, you will support a model of continuous improvement, while fostering a culture of teamwork and respect. This role requires keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of networking and best practices of delivering Fiber Optic services to Commercial and residential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Support documentation and training methods and procedures
Conduct work site inspections and audits of customer installations, Central Office equipment, and processes to ensure maximum crew efficiency and production deliverables.
Partner with leadership and NOC personnel to address service concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide job task training and orientation for new employees and subcontractors, covering topics such as Quality standards and product training.
Stay well-versed about evolving technologies, and industry best practices
Advance a culture of situational awareness and accountability among all personnel by facilitating open communication
Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of data and voice communications, standards, and best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer software and tools for safety management and reporting.
Ability to work as a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Travel to different markets as needed.
Education and Experience:
Degree in computer networking science or or related experience.
Proven experience in facilities-based telecommunications service delivery, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
Working Conditions:
The Manager of the Installation and Repair team will be primarily office based with field visits and site inspections comprising 20%
Site visits may involve exposure to various weather conditions, terrain, and physical hazards typical of construction or industrial settings.
The role will require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate field activity.
Physical requirements may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
The Manager of the Installation and Repair team must adhere and promote to all safety protocols appropriate PPE
Pay Range: $ per hour depending on experience.
