Chandler Clinical Trials is a dedicated research site coupled with multi-specialty and family practice doctors that conducts Phase I-IV research studies. Chandler Clinical Trials has several new and ongoing clinical studies that you will help recruit for.
Position Summary
This position functions as an interface with patients, physicians, staff and is responsible for all incoming calls, screening, transferring, and answering appropriately, timely, and efficiently. Takes accurate and appropriate messages. Greets patients/visitors, checks patients in and out, distributes mail, faxes, etc. Assists department with various duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Answers clinic phones and directs calls appropriately, monitors the queue to ensure calls are answered timely and appropriately.
- Becomes familiar with all studies to accurately inform patients (allotted compensation for time and travel, number of free doctor visits/ lab results/study medication).
- Schedules / reschedules appointments for patients according to patient's preference and written protocols.
- Answers questions and registers new patients as appropriate.
- Performs computer data entry in registration, scheduling and other programs as assigned.
- Maintains a pleasant appearance of the reception area and lobby.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinic Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and experience working in a medical office scheduling and answering calls.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational, administrative, multi-tasking, prioritization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a positive friendly manner and to be flexible and adaptive to change. Ability to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners and vendors. Ability to seek direction/approval on essential matters, yet work independently with little onsite supervision, using professional judgment and diplomacy. Work in a team-oriented environment with a number of professionals with different work styles and support needs. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
