What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Analyst position at Empire Comfort Systems, Inc.?
Primary Responsibility:
The Inventory Analyst will take direction from the Inventory Control Manager as to content of work and tasks to be performed, which will include conducting daily inventory transactions within our ERP System, investigating root cause, and capturing data for continuous improvement. Reading Bill of Materials, investigating system transactions, and performing system transactions will be the primary focus for this position. Accurate inventories are critical for the success of Empire Comfort Systems.
Job Requirements:
1. General knowledge of how a unit is assembled in production, sheet metal and subassembly fabrication processes, and repair and scrap reporting procedures. This includes understanding the basic work flow, the key areas of assembly throughout the line, and being able to identify parts that are provided by internal fabrication or subassembly areas.
2. General knowledge of the material flow for both parts and finished goods. Includes at what point start and completion scans are performed, and when back flushing occurs.
3. Daily use of ERP System to support inventory transactions and investigations. Reading of material prints could also be part of the investigation process.
Tasks:
The Inventory Analyst will, under the direction of the Inventory Control Manger, perform the following tasks as assigned:
1. Conduct transactional reconciliation of inventories.
2. Identify inventory recounts.
3. Use Excel and .csv files to upload transaction in ERP System
4. Conduct daily responsibilities within financial guidelines as identified by Inventory Control Manager
5. Review manufacturing process to identify areas of system inventory relief corrections
6. Research inventory inaccuracies such as transfer errors, unit of measure conversions, bill of material discrepancies, and vendor counts per package.
7. Assisting the inventory team with implementation of projects and initiative.
8. Other duties as assigned.

The position of Inventory Analyst is a part time position requiring up to 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday with negotiable hours in the 6:30 am to 5 pm time frame.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently as well as possessing the ability to work in a team environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and using the ERP System.
- Must possess proficient PC skills. Must be able to use a keyboard and have basic PC skills aptitude.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and/or Net Suite is desirable.
- Must be able to read, comprehend and follow standard work instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- This position does require physical labor. Applicants should be able to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and move objects frequently and repetitively throughout the shift.
- Must be able to apply basic math skills and accurately record counts.
- Must possess attention to detail as it pertains to accurate counting as well as solid decision making skills
