What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Coordinator position at Empire Crane Company?
The Empire Crane Company LLC., is looking to hire an experienced Service Coordinator for our Syracuse, New York branch. The Service Coordinator leads all service operations including but not limited to customer relations, overseeing the service technicians, prioritization of works order, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Daily communication with main office with any information needed or requested
- Create estimates, work orders, purchase orders, and sales orders
- Schedule service appointments (may include hotels, parts pick up,etc.)
- Look up parts needed for repair & customer needs
- Process and submit all documents for warranty repairs
- Work with vendors and customers to keep timelines for repairs
- Keep fleet of vehicles maintained (inspections, repairs, PM services)
- Focus on providing excellent customer service before, during, and after sale is complete
- Confirm all expenses are accounted for and sent to main accounting dept
- Locate companies and schedule service for needed repairs to facility
- Maintain customer terms and balance
- Ensure techs certificates are up to date
- Document all new and rental units incoming and outgoing with pictures and related forms
- Organize and lead loadouts of equipment and components
- Offensive calling on new potential customers
- Contribute ideas to the company’s marketing and sales department to increase the company’s overall performance and market share throughout territory
- Locate and find aftermarket part suppliers
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain safe and clean working environment/company property by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Produce appropriate letter of compliance reports to customer
Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred.
- 2 years of relevant work history preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred, and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- Proven commitment to safety
- Proficient time management, technical communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Problem solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward the work at hand
