Summary
Manages all beer portfolio brands including but not limited to: purchasing, inventory control, reporting, tracking, POS, sponsorships, promotions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all beer purchasing on weekly basis for some brands, monthly for others.
- Reviews inventory levels with goal to lower current levels and maintain freshness.
- Manage all beer related POS; catalog items and distribute this information to sales teams.
- Train all Sales Representatives and Managers on craft beer styles and brand information.
- Coordinate the branch draft beer survey and perform three times annually in conjunction with the On Premise staff.
- Attend all beer supplier meetings and reviews with branch GM, OPD, GSM and CSC; become an additional main point of contact for beer suppliers for the Asheville branch.
- Train and work with all sales personnel. Participate in On Premise beer related promotions.
- Responsible for reporting and tracking for beer suppliers as well as keeping sales teams informed on distribution goals and incentives.
- Recruit new craft beer brands; include travel to potential new breweries and represent EDI for Asheville.
- Craft Beer Event Coordinator for EDI AVL; seek out new events to participate in and line up suppliers for sponsorships
- Possess knowledge of all Empire products.
- Submit weekly schedule and itinerary.
- Visit top draft accounts on a regular basis with DM or salesman.
- Conduct standard presentation on features and benefits of craft beer.
- Maintain notes on work performed along with records of all account visits.
- Monitor utilization and effectiveness of point-of-sale.
- Conduct business within the scope of all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
- Maintain open communication with other departments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager, Director of On-Premise and General Manager.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
State ABC license, valid driver's license, Cicerone Certified Beer Server
Computer skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
