Empire Distributors Inc , A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring an Inventory Control Specialist . This person supports the execution of all processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy for the Asheville Distribution Center. Verifies warehouse bin accuracy and prevents inventory shrinkage. Utilizes Warehouse Management System and various types of material handling equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Investigates inventory discrepancies and takes appropriate corrective action to resolve.
- Investigates bin location variances and takes appropriate corrective action to resolve.
- Researches problem orders and receipts for the Distribution Center.
- Inputs data into warehouse management system, databases and reporting tools.
- Performs system entries to maintain inventory and bin accuracy to include : cycle counts, pick exceptions, bad box, lost bin, found bin, pick paths and bin maintenance.
- Collects, maintains and provides detailed statistics and reports on various performance measurements.
- Ability and willingness to work with and around all products that may be ordered by our customers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift Certificate
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of warehouse software as well as business software and basic Windows functions, e.g. SAP, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
