Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will work with a variety of clients in the healthcare industry developing trusting, working relationships with clients based on an underlying knowledge of the industry while developing an understanding of the client’s unique practice and its challenges. The bookkeeper will be the primary contact with the client to obtain and enter financial transactions and create a foundation for strong financial statements with documentation.
Essential Functions

Responsibilities
- Provide quality general bookkeeping services to clients of EMG
- Answer basic bookkeeping and accounting questions for clients
- Enter bills in a timely manner
- Pay invoices in a timely manner
- Issue invoices to customers
- Works with clients and their vendors to ensure accurate A/R and A/P balances
- Ensure receivables are collected promptly
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Posts debits and credits to general ledger
- Balance and maintain general ledger
- Monthly reconciliation on bank accounts
- Prepare financial statements for next level review
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain the chart of account
- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting or other related field, preferred
- Minimum two (2) years work experience accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or a related field, required
- Previous experience with Apple products, Quickbooks, Excel or other accounting software required

- Intermediate math skills
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to read, understand, and follow policies and standard operating procedures

- Full time position, non-exempt
- M-F schedule
Compensation
- $20-25/hour DOE
