We are seeking a Night Warehouse Manager in our Lyons, NY Distribution Center
The Night Warehouse Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all aspects of the warehouse operation during the night shift. This includes supervising, training, and coaching employees to ensure they perform their tasks safely and efficiently through the assistance and efforts of the Assistant Night Manager and the Night Supervisor. Must understand and be able to operate all night processes including but not limited to, Waving, Shiraz, Lucas, Jackpot, Merge and QC.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
- Managing an efficient day-to-day Night Warehouse operation including prioritizing work assignments for the night warehouse crew and redeploying resources to various positions during the shift.
- Responsible for facilitating cross training of all employees to ensure that each employee is qualified and functional in all required aspects of the night operation. This includes but is not limited to operation all PIT equipment, working the bottle room, pick lines, outside picks, replenishment, outside picks, and loading of trucks.
- Will communicate with the DC Manager and Assistant DC Manager as needed on any issues or problems that pertain to the night operation as well as suggestions for improvements.
- Approve the weekly payroll including the management of time off.
- Control department costs relative to the direction of the company. Directly responsible for costs associated with night warehouse activity, including but not limited to, regular labor, overtime labor, supplies, etc.
- Reports and acts on inventory discrepancies and anomalies as needed. Works in conjunction with Inventory Control, Day Shift Management, Purchasing, Customer Care, Sales Personnel, and Assistant DC Manager to maintain accurate inventory.
- Communicates regularly with Day Warehouse Management to discuss related and shared responsibilities such as replenishment, consolidation, and product slotting.
- Will report, review, and analyze the night shift production metrics and data and engage the night shift employees for improvement with the support of the Assistant Night Manager and Supervisor.
- Provides training such as Toolbox Talks, PIT, and new employee orientation.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of SAP relative to Warehouse Management.
- Responsible for understanding and addressing any issues related to SAP programs and RF scanning.
- Provide employee counseling as needed for improvement / retraining.
- Manage disciplinary and corrective action processes for employees as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages / Supervises members of the night management team and warehouse team. Responsible for providing effective leadership while fostering a positive team environment and enhancing employee and management relations. Provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the organizational unit, department and / or functional area. Performs management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to employee training, conducting interviews and hiring as needed, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems related to the Night Warehouse operations.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Empire Merchants North offers a competitive compensation package including :
Salary Range : $75,000 - $85,000 and annual bonus potential
Paid Holidays, Health Plan options (medical, dental, disability coverage, life insurance, and other voluntary plans), 401K, PTO, vacation accrual, FSA / HSA
Monday - Thursday, start time between 6pm - 8pm / 10 hour shift
