Responsibilities
- Track and request maintenance records from owner-operators.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records for all equipment. Communicate inspection findings to the shop manager.
- Manage citations, hire legal counsel, and coordinate with lawyers as needed. Obtain court dispositions and process violations or no-violation outcomes.
- Participate in driver orientations and safety onboarding.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in transportation safety, compliance, or fleet management preferred
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information and legal matters professionally
- Proficient with spreadsheets and document tracking systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable participating in orientations and interacting with drivers
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Ukrainian or other) is a plus
