What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Analyst position at Empire Natural Gas Corpration?
As an Operations Analyst at Empire Natural Gas, you will utilize technology to support and improve our daily operations and technical infrastructure. You will be joining a small team for an energy company with a large customer base. Your work will have a direct impact on the business. You will have input in the technology we use and in shaping our technical infrastructure. As part of our technical team, you will have the opportunity to learn, implement, and shape the tools used in all aspects of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and maintain internal software applications and databases
- Manage and troubleshoot on-site hardware including virtualized servers, workstations, 3CX phone systems, and networking equipment
- Forecast and schedule energy on interstate pipelines
- Process and verify customer billing data
- Create custom reports and data analysis for internal and customer use
Minimum qualifications:
- A degree at an accredited university in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related technical field
- Programming experience (Preferably Python)
- Relational database experience (MS Access/Postgress/SQL)
- Strong analytical skills
- General experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connections
