Commercial Fence Technician
Job Summary:
This position requires a construction or landscaping minded individual who can travel to venues across the country and install multiple styles of fence, railing, gates and more. You will support a team of dedicated fence installers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented and like "thinking outside the box"
Responsibilities:
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Proper use of hand/power tools
Must be able to lift 50lbs, work on feet for 8 hours
Work in all weather conditions
Must show up on time
Ability to read a tape measure and level
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
Perform maintenance on equipment to keep in a satisfactory working condition
Know and use tools and equipment related to fencing
Learn the difference in concrete and terminology
Learn blueprint readings
Learn how to load a trailer safely
Maintain clean tools/vehicles
First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
OSH 10 (Preferred)
Travel 50-75% of the time
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent is required
US work authorization is required
Valid driver’s license is required, CDL is a plus
Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting
Willing to work M-F with weekends and overtime when needed
Ability to use a variety of hand tools and all power tools
Welding knowledge or experience is a plus
Ability to, or learn to operate heavy equipment, i.e., skid loader
Ability to learn/operate heavy equipment, i.e. skid loader, telescoping boom lift, etc.
