Overview
Empire Office is seeking an experienced Onsite Lead / Field Supervisor to support field operations for commercial furniture installation projects. This position is based in Tampa and plays a critical role in leading day-to-day job site execution, managing crews, ensuring safety standards, and delivering a top-tier client experience.
As an Onsite Lead, you will be the key point of contact during installation phases, responsible for coordinating all on-site activity, communicating with contractors, and ensuring all furniture products are delivered, assembled, and installed according to project specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily job site activities including receiving, delivery, staging, installation, and breakdown of commercial furniture systems.
- Supervise and direct field installers, subcontractors, and temporary labor on site.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available and operational at the start of each day.
- Act as the lead point of contact for general contractors, project managers, and clients on the job site.
- Verify product against delivery tickets and ensure all materials are accounted for before installation begins.
- Conduct on-site quality control, resolve issues in real-time, and escalate as necessary.
- Train and guide team members in installation best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate job documentation including field reports, labor hours, and progress tracking.
- Attend daily construction or coordination meetings as a representative of Empire Office.
- Uphold and enforce all company safety procedures and ensure PPE compliance.
- Perform other duties as needed to support successful and timely project completion.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial furniture installation
- Prior experience as a site lead, supervisor, or foreman preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate on-site teams
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and job site specs
- Proficient in mobile communication tools and reporting apps; Microsoft Office knowledge a plus
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage job site logistics independently
- Knowledge of job site safety regulations, tools, and installation equipment
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting over 50 lbs
- Frequent walking, bending, climbing, and standing throughout the workday
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors, including active construction environments
- This position is based in Tampa with regular travel to nearby job sites
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
