Overview
Empire Office is seeking a Field Supervisor/Lead to join our operations team. This role will be based in Miami and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations related to the delivery, installation, and disassembly of commercial furniture systems. The Field Supervisor/Lead will manage on-site crews, coordinate logistics, ensure safety compliance, and serve as the main point of contact for clients and contractors during installation projects.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires excellent organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and a strong background in commercial furniture installation. The ideal candidate is highly reliable, team-driven, and committed to delivering a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily field activities including delivery, installation, removal, and site coordination.
- Manage field crews and subcontractors across various project sites in the Miami region.
- Ensure readiness of fleet vehicles, tools, and materials needed for installations.
- Verify product loads and match delivery tickets prior to dispatch.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for client communication and issue resolution.
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures and proactively address risks on site.
- Train and oversee subcontractors and new hires on Empire Office installation standards.
- Maintain accurate records of site progress, labor hours, equipment use, and incident reports.
- Represent Empire Office at on-site construction or project meetings.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, and escalate any variances or concerns.
- Perform additional field leadership tasks as directed by the Director of Operations or project leads.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial furniture installation experience
- Prior experience managing or supervising field installation teams required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (must be insurable)
- Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and job site documents
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in both verbal and written English; Spanish fluency a plus
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, email communications, and mobile workforce platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members
- Excellent time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with commercial construction site protocols and safety guidelines
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and more than 50 lbs occasionally
- Regular standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting required throughout the day
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including active construction sites
- Travel required within the Miami region; some regional travel outside the area may be necessary
- Must be able to work in warm and humid climates for extended periods
- Regular and reliable attendance is required

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
