The Creative Specialist team at Empire Office is a small, dynamic group focused on today's bespoke marketplace. Our goal is to make customers for life.The Work : Conceptual DesignWork directly with the Director of Creative Design Specification and Creative Specialist teammembers to execute the following : Furniture solutions to address a look / feel package with no defined furniture specificationAlternates where products selected from a design firm may not work due to pricepoint or lead time requirement.Collaborate with the Creative Services and Marketing team in the development of customer-facing presentations, design decks, and standards.Create full furniture layouts (including workstations, private offices, conferencing, and ancillary) and renderings using CET / AutoCadWhen required, facilitate photo-realistic renderings with outside rendering companiesSpecification Create specification drawings in CET / AutoCad (typicals, furniture plans, 3D's)Create specifications and .sif files (including key schedules and tagging)Inventory existing products when required; incorporate them into furniture plans and specificationsAssist with finish selections and creating sample boardsExecution Prepare installation drawings and supporting documents (specs)Maintenance of internal reporting systems, i.e. time sheets and project filesAdhere to deadlines for key deliverablesIdentify areas that need field verification and coordinate actual dimensions with the final planQualificationsThe Skills : A strong foundation in design and a willingness to learn is essential for this role. We require integrity, creativity, attention to detail, work ethic, proactivity, organization, interpersonal skills, a customer service mindset, and a desire to improve.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior DesignSalary : $50,000 to $55,000, commensurate with experienceProficiency in AutoCAD requiredProficiency in Autodesk Revit is highly preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCET and Adobe Illustrator experience preferred1 years of design experience within a design firm, furniture retailer, or dealership preferred
