Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Buyer for JBS ROLE that will be based in our Mason, Ohio location. This role is responsible for maintaining the supply chain for the company and managing the operational execution of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) strategies. Manages deliverables, resolves delivery and supply issues, and communications between suppliers and the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the execution of VMI strategies.
• Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties to
• provide information and/or providing directions.
• Monitors customer satisfaction of goods and services received.
• Ability to manage supply in an ever-changing environment, to include
• expediting, de-expediting and cancelling of purchase orders.
• Generate RFQ’s for competitive bidding of commodities to result in cost reduction
• Maintains a variety of manual and electronic records of VMI transactions.
• Processes documents such as purchase orders, shipping documents, and commercial invoices to fulfill orders, collecting/distributing payments to and from customers and vendors.
• Reconciles purchase orders and invoices.
• Manage supply of materials to achieve inventory goals. Ability to negotiate stocking programs (VMI, Kanban, JIT) to reduce both lead time and inventory
• Manage the supply chain to ensure quality and on time delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Interface with planning, sales, service, engineering, production, finance and other departments as required to achieve customer satisfaction
• Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and service levels.
• Responsible for the identification and development of suppliers to ensure supply continuity and optimization for quality, cost and delivery.
• Monitors account balances and related financial activity to ensure that allocations are accurate.
• May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: (pick applicable)

• ▪High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• ▪ Must have inventory control experience with a focus in VMI
• ▪ Ability to speak, read, and write English
• ▪ Good verbal and written communication skills
• ▪ Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• ▪ Good math skills
• ▪ Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• ▪ Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• ▪ Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.

• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of [$54,220.00-$65,876.40];
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
